Buying Guide

Buying your first home is one of life's most exciting stages. We will do everything we can to make the whole process as enjoyable and as stress free as possible. The Plumlife sales team will guide you step-by-step through the whole process.

Buying your Plumlife home can be very easy. You just need to follow this simple guide:

* Search all low cost home ownership developments available across Greater Manchester and Lancashire using the Property Search link above

* Complete our application form

* Once we have received your completed application form and supporting information we will advise whether your application has been successful within 8 working days.

* Plumlife or a partner Housing Association will contact you to make an appointment to view the development and/or property of your choice

* Your details will be forwarded to all developing housing associations within the area(s) you have requested. They will contact you direct

* If you are not eligible or we are unable to offer you a property we will write to you explaining why

* We are able to accept Early Bird Reservations at some of Plumlife's future Developments. See the Early Bird link for further details

* If you wish to reserve a Plumlife property you need to pay a non-refundable reservation fee. The Plumlife sales team will look after you from here on and confirm your reservation in writing once they have received your deposit

* Plumlife sales team will update the progress of your mortgage application and purchase which you will be able to view on this website

* Move in. Your sales advisor will meet you on the day of completion where possible and hand over the property to you

* Plumlife management will then take over from the sales team and look after your rent account and any problems that you have with your property during the defects liability period (where applicable)

* If you wish to purchase a property from a partner Housing Association you will need to keep in contact with them. They may have different arrangements for keeping you infomed of progress
