Fire safety checks on our high rise blocks

 

As part of our response to the tragic fire at Grenfell Tower in London and our ongoing commitment to safety we are testing cladding at all the high rise apartment blocks we own. 

We have already submitted details of the cladding on the building to the government who have not raised any concerns about it. However we want to make doubly sure everything is safe so we are taking away samples to test.

Fire safety officers have already visited every high-rise apartment we own to reassure residents.

Matthew Reynolds, Fire Safety Manager at Great Places Housing Group, which owns Plumlife said: “We have already submitted details of our high rise blocks to the Department for Communities and Local Government.

“We have not been made aware of any concerns about them. However as part of our ongoing commitment to safety and to reassure our residents, we have contractors out removing samples of cladding which will be tested. If there are any issues then of course we will take immediate action. In the meantime I would like to reassure our residents that all our buildings comply with strict fire safety regulations.”
