Major repairs

Plumlife has set up what is known as a 'Sinking Fund' for each estate. This is to enable proper future provision for major structural repairs or renewals and any necessary improvements. Examples of possible expenditure to be met from the Sinking Fund are external and internal redecoration, the renewal of alarm systems, heating systems, lifts, laundries, guest rooms and fences, re-roofing or other structural renewals.

On some schemes a resident's contribution to the Sinking Fund is made when the property is re-sold. A percentage of the sale price is charged, the contribution sometimes being a percentage of the sale price for each year of occupation. Please refer to your lease for more details.

By ensuring proper provision for the future, the Sinking Fund protects residents from unexpected and irregular bills and ensures the estate is kept up to a high standard, so protecting your property's value.
