As one of the North West’s biggest providers of Shared Ownership, Plumlife are delighted to be backing the new National Housing Federation’s Shared Ownership campaign.
The campaign, which will be launched in October, is aimed at raising the profile of the Shared Ownership option and busting some commonly-held myths.
Plumlife, the sales arm of Great Places Housing Group, has backed the campaign and will be helping to spread the word on one of the most affordable options for people to get onto the property ladder.
The campaign will educate people on what Shared Ownership is and isn’t and will debunk the popular myths around the issue of Shared Ownership.
Great Places has been joined by hundreds of other registered providers across the UK in backing the campaign to help promote Shared Ownership as a viable and affordable option for people of all ages and backgrounds.
Shared Ownership is a great way for potential customers to move into their dream home -without the need of having to scrimp and save for a huge deposit. It is a part buy, part rent scheme backed by the Government for people who can't afford to buy a home on the open market.
It allows you to buy a percentage of a home based on what mortgage you can afford (between 25% - 75%) and pay a reduced rent amount on the rest, with the option to buy more of it in the future, all the way to full ownership.
It provides life-long security without the huge upfront cost of a deposit that home-buyers face when they use traditional ownership routes.
Matthew Harrison, CEO of Great Places Housing Group, said: “There is still a lack of understanding about shared ownership and the role it can play in helping solve the housing crisis but there is hope with the new nationwide advertising campaign by the National Housing Federation which will launch in October this year.
This will be fantastic way to boost the profile of shared ownership to help people step onto the property ladder and we’re delighted to be backing the campaign to help promote this great product.”
