Plumlife Management is delighted to announce a new Operational Management Contract at the New Islington Estate that is set to run until 2030.
Once included in The Times’ Best Places to Live survey, the estate has been run by Great Places, Plumlife Management’s parent company, since 2018.
The Estate covers an area of approximately eight acres and is comprised of Cotton Field Park and the New Islington Marina, which lies between the Rochdale and Ashton canals.
Plumlife works in close partnership with Manchester City Council and Waterpride who manage the Marina waterways, boater moorings & facilities.
The Estate is open to the public with its upkeep funded by residents of around 1,000 residential homes in and around the Estate as well as further income provided by commercial units, the boating community and even from occasional media filming requests.
As well as Great Places, developers and landlords on the Estate include Urban Splash and Manchester Life, who all play a key role in the regeneration in the area. We note the importance of the Marina attracting further visitors to the estate including the Manchester Digital Campus and regeneration of the former retail park on Great Ancoats Street.
Great Places’ Director of Private Sector Management Caroline Millington said: “The New Islington Estate is one of the jewels in our management portfolio and we are delighted to have secured a contract extension.”
The new contract will begin on October 1.
